Employment services

Our Community Development Program (CDP) in the East Kimberley and Employment Services in the West Kimberley support unemployed people to build skills, address barriers preventing employment and contribute to their communities through a range of flexible activities.

It is designed around the unique social and labour market conditions in remote Australia and is part of the Australian Government’s agenda for increasing employment and breaking the cycle of welfare dependency.

All participants are supported by our team of Case Managers and Post Placement Support Officers while learning valuable skills and participating in formal training through attending activities

The Revive Store was created in 2017 to provide a valued secondhand goods store while creating employment opportunities. This program also encompasses being the East Kimberley provider for Western Australia’s Container Deposit Scheme, known as Containers for Change. Job Pathways

Job Pathways (previously East Kimberley Job Pathways) is a not-for-profit community development company owned in partnership by two well respected Aboriginal organisations – Wunan Foundation and KREAC.

Our organisation was established in 2013 to deliver the Federal Government’s Community Development Program across the broader East Kimberley and Halls Creek/Tjurabalan Regions.

In 2017 we established Revive in Kununurra to provide valued service to the community while creating meaningful employment opportunities for long-term unemployed people.

2020 saw significant changes to the organisation with the creation of our Disability Services – Wayfinder, and the launch of the Container Deposit Scheme across East Kimberley and Halls Creek/Tjurabalan Regions.

In 2023, East Kimberley Job Pathways renamed to Job Pathways and expanded to Broome in the West Kimberley to deliver Employment Services for Workforce Australia – a major milestone for the organisation.
