Job Pathways celebrates annual Team Development Forum

On Thursday 19th and Friday 20th October 2023, the Job Pathways’ team gathered at the Kimberley Grande in Kununurra, Western Australia, for our annual Team Development Forum. Throughout these two days of professional development, our team had the opportunity to connect, present and workshop EKJP’s values: Care, Collaboration, Courage and Commitment. We were fortunate to be Welcomed to Country by Miriwoong Traditional Elder Agnes Armstrong, hear from Ian Trust about the foundation of Job Pathways, learn about Domestic Violence from Anglicare and from other teams about how they utilise Job Pathways’ values.

Highlights included having MC and keynote speaker, Dan Aubin, guide the team through attention and balance in both our professional and personal lives. With roots in circus performance, we were delighted by his ability to handstand on top of a stack of chairs! He provided unique and engaging ways to get the team thinking differently. We were also fortunate to have Sam and Liz from curious&curious lead Job Pathways through team building exercises. We shared our priorities using coloured dots, which shed light on the diverse perspectives within our team. Based on the information obtained from this exercise, the Executive Team will review insights into a manageable list of top priorities and develop a plan for sharing with each team. Subsequently, each team and site will identify the top three to five most important statements, which will shape our office behaviours. These behaviours will represent our collective commitment to fostering a workplace culture that we can all take pride in here at Job Pathways.

In the evening, the team gathered for dinner and to celebrate the team members celebrating milestones at Job Pathways for both 2022 and 2023.

Congratulations!
