Launch of Revive Services

Revive, a Job Pathways’ initiative, has recently launched a new pre-employment program in Kununurra, WA, for the local community called Revive Services. This service aims to engage participants in training and real-life skills in order to equip them to enter the workforce.

Through the Revive Services program, participants will be employed by Job Pathways to build, upcycle and repair furniture that can be sold through the Revive Store. They will also complete community projects, as well as build furniture for their own use. During the program they will be involved in completing GATE courses at North Regional TAFE including First Aid, budgeting and numeracy. This will support participants gain knowledge to be used in familiar situations and enhance their digital literacy. They will also plan and organise projects, work as a team within a project and engage in workplace practices.

Revive Services has secured accommodation for the participants while they are engaged in the program. All participants will receive a set of tools to use, maintain and keep so when they commence formal employment, they are already prepared with tooling to complete various tasks.
