Opening the Kununurra Withdrawal and Intervention Centre

This week, Job Pathways joined Wunan Foundation and the Hon. Divina D’Anna to celebrate the official opening of the Kimberley Withdrawal and Intervention Centre (KWIC).

KWIC is Western Australia’s first Aboriginal community-controlled low medical withdrawal service. This new development, based in Kununurra, will provide a safe, culturally respectful space for Kimberley community members seeking to withdraw from alcohol and other drugs, helping them stabilise before continuing to receive other treatment. In addition to withdrawal support, the six-bedroom facility will offer treatment options for individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health issues.

Job Pathways is proud to have contributed to the construction of KWIC, alongside Minderoo Foundation and Lotterywest.
